This template is out of order until further notice. See Template talk:Cite jstor#JSTOR API disabled.

Per WP:CITEVAR, only use this template in articles whose references are formatted as described in {{cite doi}}. Please do not use the cite jstor template in articles whose references are formatted differently.

This Template only works for JSTOR articles that use a DOI that starts with 10.2307 (Their stable URL is of the form http://www.jstor.org/stable/######). Article with journal based DOI's do not work (Their stable URL is of the form http://www.jstor.org/stable/10.#####/#######)

Usage

This is simply a wrapper for Template:Cite doi. Insert a JSTOR article identifier (the string of digits in a URL, e.g. 1303389).

For example:

will initially generate

JSTOR 3793107.

Shortly afterwards, the citation would be completed automatically; if the bot was working.

The number will be at the end of the url for the jstor webpage.
